We're back!

Having the opportunity to travel is very exciting! The biggest advantage of being my own boss is the ability to load up my camera, and bags and head off to any destination of my choice.

Recently I was asked to photograph a destination wedding in December! (So excited).  This last weekend I was asked to travel to the beautiful Charleston, SC to photograph my destination couple's Engagement Photographs at the beautiful Mepkin Abbey! We had an awesome adventure including some beautiful sunset photographs, and a photobombing alligator

While I was in the area, I was given the opportunity to visit my college roommate, her husband and daughter who are currently stationed at Parris Island, SC. While visiting I was able to take some family photos for them at the Waterfront Park in Beaufort, SC! We had such a great time visiting and catching up.

During my trip south, I was also able to catch up with a past client, and take some unique and high energy photographs of her, her son, his father and their dog at West Ashley Park! We had a blast. I watched as they ran and played soccer together. I was filled with happiness knowing that I had built a lasting relationship with this client and her family.

I also was able to take advantage of my "snow-bird" mother who is currently staying with my brother in Charleston. I was able to spend some quality time with my mom and my aunt. We were able to adventure through the Charleston area, and eat some absolutely delicious food! We had some delicious dinner at R.B.'sSeafood Restaurant on Shem Creek overlooking the water, and watching the boats come in. The food was delicious, and the view breathtaking! We attended Church on Sunday morning at Freedom Church, and followed up the wonderful Church service with a delicious breakfast at Lowcountry Bistro in Downtown Charleston, SC. The rest of the afternoon we spent walking around the Charleston Market, which is one of my favorite places to visit, so full of history, and creativity!

Something I took away from this trip was that in order to see growth in my business, and in my life.. I had to acknowledge the importance of change, even when it's uncomfortable. I learned I need to be a risk-taker. My mom read me a quote "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different outcome".  This speaks volumes.

My heart will always be in Charleston, I will always call it my second home. I am always overwhelmed with the thought of coming back to PA, but once I'm home.. I get a big hug from my husband and slobbery kiss from my dog-son and everything seems perfect again. I look forward to my next adventure to Charleston.. but I am ready to dive into the 2016 Wedding Season, which starts THIS WEEKEND!!

Let's go!
